{Wedding Day - Recap}

April 25, 2009 Tom and I got married in Dallas Texas. It was BEAUTIFUL! People always say that there is no such thing as a perfect wedding but I have to disagree because mine literally was perfect! I wanted to share some pictures and we received about 870 from our photographer, so bare with me, it was really hard to pick a handful to share.

All of our pictures were taken by Sallee Photography. THEY WERE GREAT! They were the first vendor that I booked and we worked on our engagement pictures, bridal pictures and the wedding day pictures. Me and my bridesmaids took some fun pictures before the ceremony. I was going for a "Breakfast at Tiffany's" look so we all put on the gloves, pearls, and later, we added super big sunglasses,... TOO CUTE!

These pictures were taken at Hotel Zaza Dallas where we also held the cocktail hour and reception. Here you can see me with my MOH, Megan and all my bridesmaids/sisters-in-law: Jessica, Jessie and Gina. (it was hard to keep up with all the Jessica's!!!)

Here is my Handsome Husband, Tom.
My Dad, my flower girls/nieces and me. Samantha looks like she has a really good secret for my Dad!!! The ceremony was at Dallas Heritage Village. It is a really neat place! Its like an old ghost town complete with Saloon, School House, Farm, Church and Millermore Lawn where we held the ceremony.

My brother, Jon was ordained online :) and performed our ceremony. Gotta love modern technology!

Tom and I met on Match.com so it only seemed fitting to do a computer picture.... this is our take!

{Fireplace Mini Remodel}

So I have been moping around the house feeling depressed, bored and just pretty gloomy and I thought that some of it had to do with all the crazy rain we have been getting out here. I ALSO thought that it might be partly because our house is reminiscent of a CAVE! We live in a very small row house in Baltimore City and have a total of 7 windows in the entire house. Three downstairs and 4 upstairs. Being a row house, they are all only on the front and back walls of the house. The width of the house is about 14 feet and it is very long from front door to back door,... like a cave.
So in an effort to brighten up the place a little and make things a bit more cheery, I decided a little makeover was in need of our dark red fireplace.
Here are the before pictures of the brick.....

My husband putting in some work....
I made him take an action shot of me....

And, you'll have to wait for the final product.... because I haven't taken a picture yet! Keep checking back! :)

{Cabo San Lucas - Recap}

So this is a "recap" because we went to Cabo in March, but it was so much fun I had to share some pictures and moments from the trip.

This is the beautiful buffet breakfast we woke up to every morning. We ate outside,... it was delish!

We stayed at The Hilton, Los Cabos. It was BEAUTIFUL. I totally reccomend it if you have a chance to go to Cabo!

One of the coolest parts of the trip was zip-lining through the dessert mountains. It was exciting, thrilling,... oh and HOT! But totally worth it!

Tom and I barely even left the resort. We spent most of our time by the pool, in the pool or with a most delicious Mojito in hand.

Here is the view of the water from our hotel/breakfast. PARADISE!!
Here is me and my new hubby! What a trip! I can't wait to go back.
Anyone know any other cool places we should visit? We do enjoy our travels!

{My New Canon Camera}

In preparation for my new blogging adventure,(and with the hopes of improving my images for my Etsy shop) I have purchased this brand new most beautiful Canon Rebel Digital SLR. It is super fancy with all the bells and whistles,... I just don't REALLY know how to get the best out of it. I was thinking about taking a photography class. Just something pretty basic so I can learn how to use my new camera properly... anyone know of any good classes in Baltimore City or close to???

{On The Water Taxi}

Last Friday me and my co-workers hitched a ride on the water taxi to have lunch across the harbor! It was totally cool, we had an awesome lunch overlooking the water and on the way back Jamie snapped this great shot of our office with her sweet camera phone! Thanks for the picture Jamie!

{Ginger Treasury}

My GINGER Earrings were featured in this sweet treasury over the weekend! Thank you to SweetBriarFamily for picking my earrings to grace her treasury!!! YUM!

I spent a day last weekend planting my sweet flower boxes (finally) and I think they turned out lovely! The mix of flowers reminds me of Easter!

{A New Box For Jocelyn}

This is a box I made for my new niece, Jocelyn. I will be putting pretty wooden J-O-C-E-L-Y-N letters inside the box to adorn her nursery walls. THIS is my paper box!

{Newest BLOG}

So, here I AM! I have been so eager to start a BLOG and have been pondering over a name for weeks! I finally went with my gut and picked! I enjoy so much reading other peoples BLOGs and walk around on a daily basis thinking about wonderful things to share but haven't been able to... until NOW! In preparation for my new journey, I made a trip to the bookstore AND just purchased an awesome, super fancy camera that I hope to learn how to use soon! ;)

My name is Jessie, I am 29 years old and very recently married to Tom :) We live in a sweet little, 100 year-old town home in Baltimore, Maryland. I grew up in Texas but moved up here to be with Tom about 3 years ago. I work a full time job for a growing company called Under Armour and am very proud to be part of such a cool, up-and-coming company with such a great story. I LOVE art and spend most of my free time making jewelry and boxes and finding new projects to inspire me.

Through my BLOG I hope to share projects, photography, life and anything and everything that might inspire me or bring inspiration to others. I can't wait!!!

Happy Monday!!!
